Editorial policy

This page sets out how content here is commissioned, written, checked and corrected. It applies to operator pages, blog articles and guides.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team alone. Advertisers, affiliate partners and the operators we review have no input into what we cover, what we conclude, or how anything is scored.

How we source information

  • Player reviews are the basis of every score. They are moderated, never rewritten.
  • Primary sources come first: the operator’s own terms and bonus pages, regulator registers and enforcement notices, court filings.
  • Licence status is checked against the regulator’s public register, not the operator’s footer.
  • Screenshots and transaction records supplied by players are checked for internal consistency.
  • We do not build articles from other affiliate sites’ conclusions.

Fact-checking

Before publication we check: bonus terms verified against the live page on a stated date, wagering requirements quoted exactly, licence numbers confirmed on the regulator’s register, and every statistic linked to its source.

Where we cannot verify something, we say so in the text rather than implying certainty.

Authorship

Articles carry the name of the person who wrote them. Contributors disclose any commercial relationship with an operator they write about.

Sponsored content

Sponsored articles and listings are labelled at the top of the page and in every listing. They are held to the same accuracy standard as editorial, and we retain final approval of the headline and any factual claim.

Responsible gambling obligations

Every page carries an age notice and a route to free confidential help. We do not describe gambling as a way to make money, we do not present it as a solution to financial pressure, and we do not publish content that could appeal primarily to under-18s.

We also do not publish betting systems or strategies claiming to beat the house edge, because none do.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it and say so. Minor typographical fixes are silent. Anything that changes meaning gets a dated correction note at the foot of the article. We do not delete an article to make an error disappear.

Right of reply

Any operator we write about may respond, and we publish responses in full alongside the original where they are of reasonable length and free of abuse.

Use of AI

We do not publish machine-generated articles under a human byline. AI tools may assist with research, transcription or copy-editing; the reporting, the judgements and the final text are human, and a named person is accountable for every page.
